We offer a three tier rebuild service for your Mercedes ABS system.
The level of rebuild will depend on the condition of your ABS pump
motor. First determine if your pump motor is working by unplugging
its connector and hooking 12 volts to the pins of the connector. If
the motor turns, it is rebuildable.
• Tier 1 Rebuild $150 flat fee
If your ABS system is showing open solenoid or pump motor error codes,
and you know your pump motor is good; our Tier 1 service is all you need
to get your system back in peak condition. Service includes a complete
rebuild of your Solenoid Pack. Turnaround time is typically 1-2 days and
vehicle can be driven in the meantime. Rebuilt solenoid pack includes a
5-year guarantee. Please ship just the solenoid pack.
• Tier 2 Rebuild $215 flat fee
The Tier 2 Rebuild restores both the solenoid pack (Tier 1) and replaces
the brushes in the pump motor. Use this option if your motor still runs,
but you would like to prolong it's life. Recommended for vehicles with over
75,000 miles (120,700km). Turnaround time is typically 1 week. Rebuilt
components include a 5-year guarantee. Please ship the entire HCU (hydraulic
control unit) with solenoid pack attached.
• Tier 3 Rebuild $400 flat fee
Tier 3 includes everything from Tier 2, as well as a complete motor
rebuild. The motor armature is rewound with new high temp windings and
new brushes are installed. If your control module has a strong "burned
out" smell, a Tier 3 rebuild is required. Turnaround time is typically 1
to 2 weeks. Rebuilt components include a 5-year guarantee. Please ship
the entire HCU (hydraulic control unit) with solenoid pack attached.

What a Rebuild Includes

Packing and Shipping
Cap off both inlet and outlet ports on the pump. Place the pump in a clean plastic
bag and seal with tape. For best protection, wrap the pump liberally with bubble wrap.
Place pump in an oversize box providing at least 3 inches of space around the pump.
