The ABS module on the 5-series is conveniently located on the passenger side of the engine compartment as shown in the image on the right.

Tools Required

1) Carefully remove the connector by pulling out the locking tab as shown on the right.

2) Remove the 6 torx screws that attach the module to the ABS modulator.

3) Remove the module.

4) Cover the exposed surface of the ABS modulator with aluminum foil.

Driving

Since full braking power is maintained regardless of whether the ABS system is working, you can safely drive your car with the ABS module removed.
